Operations at South Korea's Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center (YNCC) will not be affected by an ongoing strike that was triggered by a workers dispute over incentives.
However, operations continued at a normal pace at YNCC, with its No. 2 and No. 3 crackers both running at full throttle. The two crackers have a combined annual capacity of 955,000 metric tons. Operations seem poised to continue uninterrupted with assistance from YNCC's engineers, despite the indefinite strike. and will continue to do so. Maintenance and expansion work that commenced on October 10, for 60 days, will also be carried as planned at its No. 1 cracker. Capacity at the cracker will be increased from the current 510,000 tpa to 810,000 tpa
