Qatofin Co plans to start production at a 450,000 tpa linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant in November. The Qatofin plant, a petrochemical venture between Industries Qatar and Total SA, was scheduled to be completed this month, but start up has been delayed by a couple of months. 5.1 bln riyals (US$1.4 bln) has been the invested in the facility as well as the associated Ras Laffan Olefins Cracker.
