Petrochem hub policy likely to be approved by September

The Cabinet is likely to approve of the policy framework for proposed petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals investment regions (PCPIR) in September, while the comprehensive petrochemicals policy could get approval in October. The national policy on petrochemicals was announced in February 2005 and a draft policy was prepared and finalised internally.
