PLASTI&PACK PAKISTAN - Power of Integral Sectors

13-Mar-08
After the success of four consecutive plastic and packaging industry exhibitions, Pegasus Consultancy is proud to host the 5th International Plastic & Packaging Industry Exhibition, Plasti&Pack Pakistan from 13 - 16 May 2008. This networking platform will provide an opportunity to its exhibitors and visitors to interact and expand their businesses for their mutual benefits. Pakistan, being one of the fastest growing economies in Asia has received Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) of over US$ 6.0 billion in the year 2007. The plastic industry is said to be expanding at an average growth rate of 15% against the global average of 8%. In addition, US$1.15 billion has been spent on the imports of plastic materials during the FY 2006-07 as compared to US$1.05 million spent in 2005-06. To be in line with increased local and international demand, Plasti&Pack Pakistan provides a perfect platform for companies to market their cutting edge technology and products; strengthen and establish new business relationships and increase the market share of their products in the growing economy of the world. Plasti&Pack Pakistan 2008 has an active support of BOI (Board of Investment), and EDB (Engineering Development Board). Moreover, the event will receive an extensive local and international media coverage including 8 international publications from countries; Argentina, Taiwan, Lebanon, India, UK and Pakistan. The exhibition has confirmed the participation of around 200 local and international companies including six country pavilions from China, Taiwan, Turkey, India, Austria, UAE. It is expected to host around 15,000 trade professionals from the local industry as well as from different parts of the world. CONCURRENT EVENT: Plasti&Pack Pakistan 2008 will also gain benefit from another co-locating event, IFTECH PAKISTAN 2008 which is an international event for food and related technology industries. Pakistan is one of the world's largest producers of Milk & Milk powder, rice wheat, sugar, fresh fruits, spices, dry fruits and confectionary. Since the food uses inputs from plastic and printing and packaging industries in the market of Agro Products, IFTECH PAKISTAN together with PLASTI&PACK PAKSITAN will serve as an integrated platform for industry players to avail the benefits that both the exhibitions have to offer.
