PLASTRADE Technology Bhd, producer of polyethylene compound for wire and cable insulation and jacketing, plastic master batches, polymer additives, plastic compound and composites, plans to operate a plant in China in the next 18 months. Products will cater to growing demand from various sectors such as wire and cable, automobile, construction, power, telecommunications and property.
Shanghai, due to its global character and proximity to high demand markets has been short listed as the site. Plastrade plans to acquire an existing company of similar size in Shanghai instead of organic growth. This is essential to capture the ready market and cater to a robust demand.
