The MA Chidambaram group has diluted 3.7% stake in its flagship company Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd (Spic), through open market operations between March and September this year. This reduces the holding of the promoter group from 42.94% as of March 2006 to 39.24% as of quarter ended September 30, 2006.
