QAPCO inks US$34.6 mln ethylene supply contract with Japan's Marubeni

Qatar's ethylene producer Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) has inked an ethylene supply contract agreement worth US$34.6 mln (QR 126 mln) with Japan's Marubeni Corporation, Gulf Times reported. The agreement consolidates QAPCO's position as one of the ethylene supplying forerunners to Asian consumers. The EP2 ethylene capacity expansion project has augmented Mesaieed Industrial City - based QAPCO's production from earlier 525,000 tpa to 720,000 tpa.
