Valero Energy's 245,000 bpd Texas-based refinery to see 40-day maintenance turnaround

Largest oil refiner in North America, Valero Energy Corp has announced to pull its Texas City based 245,000 bpd refinery in Texas offline due to 40-day planned maintenance on its crude unit and coking unit. In addition, two other crude units and the fluid catalytic cracker complex (FLCC) will be shut owing to feeble margins on gasoline. The coker unit and crude unit will witness major turnaround work while other units will see minor maintenance work, senior officials at the company said.
