Technip has been awarded a €45 mln contract by Sibur Neftehim (a subsidiary of Sibur Moscow Holding) for engineering and procurement to expand an ethylene plant in Kstovo, Russia. The plant will be based on Technip's proprietary technology. During a Phase 1, the plant will be expanded to a capacity of 360,000 tpa. In Phase 2, it would be further expanded to a capacity of 450,000 tpa.
Technip's Zoetermeer (Netherlands) based operating center will execute the contract, which follows the basic engineering contract already carried out by Technip. It covers detailed engineering, procurement and supply of main equipment and materials. Technip will also provide technical assistance during construction, commissioning and start-up.
