Sabic's Al Jubail-based polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plants which were afflicted with power shortages are believed to return to normalcy in some days. Last week, the power disruption at the Al Jubail's PE and PP plant had led to a slight decline in rate of production. The power cut at Al Jubail had sparked a concern for the PE and PP supplies in Asia as Al Jubail along with Yanbu houses Sabic's 19 out of 20 complexes. Sabic's other manufacturing plants in Al-Jubail and Yanbu producing petrochemicals and other polymers are completely on track.
