SABIC has unveiled new SABIC® PP FPH50 grade designed to bring maximum value on high-speed equipment, shorter cycle times, faster injection and big savings in conversion costs. According to the company, the new polypropylene grade increases output by 20% and faster crystallization speed enables shorter cooling times, which results in a more efficient conversion. According to company's technical experts, the SABIC® PP FPH50 grade combines improved clarity with high stiffness opening up new opportunities for down gauging products that are currently made in random copolymer PP. This leads to thin-walled products with a very good transparency. Further, excellent flow behaviour enables reduction of processing temperatures, leading to potential energy savings up to 10%.
