Scottish secretary of Unite union calls for inquiry as Ineos acquisition of oil pipeline from BP

05-Apr-17

Petrochemical major Ineos' £199 million deal to buy BP’s Forties Pipeline System is creating ruffles in the industry.  The 100 mile pipeline delivers around 40% of the North Sea’s oil and gas and includes the Kinneil Terminal at Grangemouth.

Pat Rafferty, Scottish secretary of the Unite union, said the sale was bad for Scotland and the UK, and called for an inquiry into it.
