SEPC's complex to produce ethylene, propylene, PE comes onstream in Jubail

Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Company (SEPC)'s petrochemical complex has come onstream in Jubail Industrial City. Capacities comprise 400,000 tpa high density, mulitmodal polyethylene based on Lyondell Basell's latest-generation Hostalen ACP process, 400,000 tpa of low density polyethylene based on Lyondell Basell's Lupotech technology, 1,000,000 tpa ethylene and 285,000 tpa propylene. The complex offers advantages of highly competitive feedstock and operating costs in close proximity to the target markets. "By using the most advanced PE technologies available in the market, we can manufacture specialty and high-performance products but within a cost structure that can take into account the financial pressures and cyclicality of a commodity market" according to ," Saleh Al Nazha, President of SEPC.
