Shaw Stone & Webster unit has been selected to license and supply process design services for its Purification and Recovery Technology to China National BlueStar (Group) Corporation. The technology, which enables the recovery of ethylene and propylene from a Catalytic Pyrolysis Processing (CPP) unit, will be applied in BlueStar's Shenyang Paraffin-Wax Chemical Co. (SPCC), 135,000 tpa ethylene plant in Liaoning Province. Shaw will also license and provide basic engineering for its proprietary Cracking Furnace Technology and Ripple Tray technology. The contract value was not disclosed.
China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) will provide the technology for the reactor/regenerator and primary fractionation sections and perform basic and detailed engineering.
