Showa Denko to expand acetic acid and vinyl acetate capacity

In order to meet stable demand for acetic acid and vinyl acetate and ensure its competitiveness in the ASEAN market, Showa Denko plans to expand its production capacity. Concurrent with the upcoming regular maintenance of its Oita Petrochemical Complex in next year, the company will enhance the production facilities to increase the annual production capacity. Capacity for acetic acid will increase from the current 100,000 tons to 1,30,000 tons and for vinyl acetate from 120,000 tons to 175,000 tons.
