China's Shuangliang Group has made the single largest investment in the bi-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film industry. The company, producing a number of different "A-grade" BOPP films has bought 4 new bi-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film lines from machinery supplier Brückner Maschinenbau. The project, initiated almost two years ago, is now complete and the four lines are operational.
Two of the four Brückner lines based on twin screw extruders and having run speeds up to 450 metres a minute had already been installed in April 2003, while the last of the machines have been installed this year. With this investment, Shuangliang is considered to have become one of Asia's largest BOPP film producers, making film for laminating and printing as well as co-extruded, metallisable, pearlised matt film and low heat sealable film
