Asia's largest petrochemical producer and crude oil refiner, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) has entered into a long term strategic relationship with Intergraph Corporation. Intergraph will supply the software along with technical support and consulting to a number of SINOPEC engineering subsidiaries throughout China.
This agreement is intended to allow SINOPEC subordinate engineering companies unlimited access to a majority of Intergraph Process Power & Marine division engineering and design software including SmartPlant(R) and PDS(R) applications. Intergraph's new strategic relationship with SINOPEC further advances the company's strong presence in the Chinese market. The advantages offered to Sinopec are improvement in the competitive advantage along with reduction in administrative and project costs to meet its increasing business demands. This will be coupled with consolidation and enhancement of the competitive advantage in the international and domestic market for the SINOPEC subordinate engineering companies who have been using Intergraph software for a couple of years now.
