Belgium's Solvay Group (with its joint venture with China's State Development Investment Corporation and Inergy Automotive Systems) plans to acquire Yangzhou Yapp Automotive Plastic Parts Company.
Solvay's acquisition of a stake in a joint venture with NCI/Sinopec in a soda ash plant, is expected to be through in June/July 2005.
Solvay has a license agreement to supply VCM (vinyl chloride monomer) technology to Singpu Chemical Industries. The 200,000 mta plant is due to be up and running in H1 of 2006.
Results from a feasibility study are expected mid-2005, for Solvay's stake in vinyl production unit in Volgograd, Russia.
