In a strategic move to expand its presence in India’s building and infrastructure sector, The Supreme Industries Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wavin Industries Limited for the acquisition of its Indian Piping business. The deal, valued at $30 million plus net working capital, marks a significant expansion for Supreme Industries, reinforcing its leadership in the plastic piping systems segment.
The acquisition includes Wavin India’s manufacturing units located in Banmore (M.P.), Hyderabad (Telangana), and Neemrana (Rajasthan). Supreme Industries will gain ownership of tangible fixed assets, trademarks, intellectual property rights, licenses, contracts, and workforce associated with Wavin’s piping business.
Beyond physical assets, Supreme Industries will benefit from exclusive access to Wavin B.V.’s advanced technologies in water supply, sanitation, and climate-resilient infrastructure for India and SAARC countries for a period of seven years. This access is expected to enhance Supreme’s innovation capabilities, strengthening its foothold in the infrastructure space.
Wavin India reported a turnover of INR 1,007.50 crore for FY 2023-24, and the acquisition will increase Supreme’s piping division capacity by 73,000 MT per annum. This expansion will enhance operational efficiency and optimize distribution across North and South India, offering cost advantages and improved market penetration.
The transaction is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025, either through a slump sale or share acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals and final working capital adjustments
