Teijin Chemical Ltd. has commenced production at its the second plycarbonate (PC) plant with a capacity of 50,000 tpa in China's Zhejiang province. This start up follows the company's first polycarbonate plant in China, also with a capacity of 50,000 tpa.
Teijin Chemical Ltd. has commenced full-scale construction of its third PC plant in China last August, which has the capacity of 60,000 tpa, scheduled for commercial operation by March of 2009. All these PC plants will be operated by Teijin Polycarbonate China Ltd., a solely owned subsidiary of Japan' Teijin Chemical Ltd.
