Unscheduled flaring has occurred at Huntsman's Olefins 6 Cracker plant at Wilton chemical complex. The plant tripped (shut itself down) early last week, resulting in the unavoidable need to flare. Flaring is the controlled burning from two stacks and is part of the plant's safety system. The problem has been rectified and was being investigated.
