In a bid to facilitate capacity expansion, Thailand's second largest polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producer - Vinythai PCL plans to buy assets of smaller rival APEX Petrochemical Co. for 3.25 billion baht ($94 million) to expand capacity. The purchase, which would include a factory and machines, would raise Vinythai's PVC annual capacity to 330,000 tons from 210,000 tons.
