Zylog Plastalloys, a manufacturer of automotive polypropylene compounds for global market, won the prestigious AUTOPLAST SPEICON Award for Highest Plastic Content in 4 wheeler, at the recently concluded SPE, Autoplast 2007, Mumbai, India.
Zylog won this award for its major contribution of supplying maximum quantity of plastics in Tata Motors' SUV namely Tata Safari. Zylog supplies TPOs, TPEs and PP Compounds exceeding 35 kgs in this single vehicle for various applications like IP armature, Door trims, Floor Consoles, Console Mats, Cover brake handle lever, Nacelles, Horn Pad, Bumpers, Body Side Mouldings, Roof Headers, Spare Wheel Cover and Spoiler.
Mr. Mirisch Damani, Managing Director of Zylog Plastalloys, an active member of SPE, India Chapter, received this award on behalf of Zylog. The award ceremony was attended by more than 200 representatives from plastic and automotive industries. The theme of this year's AUTOPLAST conference was "Plastics: Driving Automotive Growth". Mr. Mirisch Damani also delivered a paper on High Performance PP Compounds for automotive application, showcasing the wide performance spectrum offered by engineered PP materials to meet the latest demand by an auto sector in terms of safety, aesthetics, recyclability and fuel saving.
