Japan's naphtha imports for petrochem rose 2% in February yoy

Japan's naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector rose 2% in February from the same month a year earlier, as per Reuters. Imports of naphtha for ethylene production amounted to 2,061,384 kilolitres (1,429,212 tons) in February, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said. That compared with 2,012,598 kl (1,396,060 tons) in the same month a year ago and 2,209,789 kl (1,533,498 tons) in January. February imports cost $1,255,357,146, down from US$1,313,929,809 in January.
