Alfa Laval AB has won an order worth 75 mln skr from Oman Petrochemical Industries Company (OPIC) to install its T50 plate heat exchangers at OPIC's plant in the Sohar Industrial Port, Oman, with delivery scheduled for 2008. The plate heat exchangers form a part of the plant's central cooling system, which uses seawater and will be installed in petrochemical plants for the production of ethylene and polyethylene.
Sohar Industrial Estate is owned by OPIC, Oman Petrochemical Industries Company LLC, and is a joint venture between Dow Europe Holding B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, the government of Oman and Oman Oil Company.
