GE has named AmeriLux International LLC of Wisconsin USA, a distributor of Lexan™ multiwall sheet, roofing panels, and corrugated sheet. This step is predicted to enable GE to expand into new markets including architectural applications for Lexan polycarbonate (PC) sheet products that are perceived to be an excellent candidate for a huge variety of architectural applications, from stadium roofs to elevators to car washes.
Lexan polycarbonate (PC) sheets are known to combine crystal-clear transparency with value-added performance, along with possessing features such as being lightweight, high stiffness, design freedom, impact and fire resistance as well as weatherability. A PC product can be recovered, recycled and disposed of safely at the end of its life.
AmeriLux plans to give customers that include OEM's and greenhouse manufacturers, valuable expertise and make GE materials available across the United States and Canada. It is expected that the relation between GE and AmeriLux will only make it easier for customers to obtain the materials quickly for glazing solutions through this venture.
