The Middle East represents one of the fastest growing regions for BOPP film demand. Burgeoning consumer markets and availability of competitive feedstocks is leading to a boom in BOPP film markets in the Middle East with volumes increasing on average by 8-10% per year. Reflecting the growing interest in the region AMI has announced plans to hold its annual global BOPP film conference at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dubai from the 16th to 18th April 2007.
"Research from the 2006 event in Frankfurt revealed a strong interest from delegates to move the event to the Middle East," commented AMI Conference Manager, Becky Merriott. "We expect to attract delegates from throughout the region, as well film producers from Asia, Europe and North America, looking to find out what is happening in the Middle East market."
Since the first AMI BOPP film conference in 2002, the event has grown rapidly to become the leading global event for the industry. An international audience of 200+ delegates is anticipated and most of the world's leading BOPP film producers will be there. As in previous years the event will be sponsored by the two leading suppliers of BOPP film lines: Brückner and DMT, with additional sponsorship from Goebel Schneid-und Wickelsysteme.
