Ashland Performance Materials announces new logistics services agreement for Europe

Ashland Performance Materials, a commercial unit of US-based specialty chemical company Ashland Inc., has entered into a logistics services agreement with De Rijke in the Netherlands to centralize the management of company's third-party carriers and warehouses in Europe with De Rijke. The agreement includes Ashland's full line of polyester, vinyl ester, and acrylic resins, premium gelcoats, low-profile additives, and specialty adhesives. Full implementation of the logistics services agreement is expected to take two to three months in order to fully transition to the new logistics services provider. The company said customers in Europe will not be impacted as a result of this transition. De Rijke, established in 1945, has built up a solid reputation in delivering supply chain solutions to the chemical industry in Europe. Currently, it operates more than 30 logistics centers spread over 11 European countries and the Middle East.
