The Austrotherm group is Central and Eastern Europe's leader in the field of thermal insulating materials. Austrotherm continues its growth in Romania with the opening of its second expanded polystyrene (EPS) production unit at Horia, at an investment of €5 million.
Production capacity of the unit will be 400,000 cubic meters of EPS- 80% of which is meant for the domestic market and the balance to be exported to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
In Austria the company operates two production units, at Purbach si Pinkafeld, while it has established other units in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia-Montenegro, Bulgaria and Albania.
The company employs 600 people across its facilities in Europe and posted a turnover of €117 million. leading the market for the Central and Eastern Europe in the field of thermal insulating materials continues its growth in Romania.
