Braskem has increased offers for high density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) offers to Europe for January, as per Platts.
Offers for LLDPE are between €1250-1300/MT up from December offers of €1120-1180/MT FD NWE. Offers for HDPE are between €1200-1300/MT, up from December offers of €1030-1120/MT FD NWE, the low end for uni-modal film and the high end for bi-modal film and injection grades. "It is no surprise that prices are increasing heavily in January and converters seem to accept them without too many problems. They understand that the raw material increase has to be forwarded," the source said.
