China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) has received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to construct a refining terminal at its Huizhou Port-based Nanhai Petrochemical Project in Guangdong Province. CNOOC's refining terminal is believed to be 814 m long comprising of a 300,000 ton crude oil unloading berth having a throughput of 18 mln tpa, a workboat berth and supporting facilities in the Mabianzhou Work Zone. Besides, it will also house four 5,000 ton oil products berths, one 30,000 ton oil products berth having a throughput of 7.4 mln tpa at the Donglian Work Zone; and one 20,000 ton petroleum and coke berth with a throughput of 2 mln tpa.
