Dow and Izolan in JV to supply Polyurethane to Russia

The Dow Chemical Company and Izolan have formed a joint venture company Dow Izolan, to be based in Vladimir, 170 km north east of Moscow. Subject to regulatory and other customary approvals, the new company, when formed, will provide to its growing customers in Russia tailored, polyurethane systems products. The joint venture plans to build a new, large, state-of-the-art production plant in the Vladimir area within the next two years, producing a broad variety of polyurethane systems products. Dow Izolan will combine Dow's Polyurethane Systems business, known for its global leadership position in technology and raw materials back integration, with Izolan's strong local customer focus, product positioning and market experience, to become the leader in Russia's polyurethane systems house marketplace. This joint venture is the latest example of Dow's commitment to building solid businesses in the region and demonstrates Dow's continued commitment to invest in Performance businesses and grow in emerging geographies.
