SIBUR Holding to invest EUR 126 mln in capacity expansion

SIBUR Holding OJSC, Russia's largest producer of petrochemical products, plans an investment of EUR 126 mln to expand the capacity of the 300,000 tpa Kstovo Ethylene Plant by 43% to 430,000 tpa. Construction of a poly vinylchloride plant in the Nizhegorodsky Region is also underway. Both facilities are planned to go onstream in 2010. SIBUR Holding is Russia's largest producer of petrochemical products, such as rubbers, tyres, polymers, and liquefied gas. Currently, out of Russia's total production, it produces 34% of liquefied gas, 56% of rubbers, some 20% of polymers, 37% of tyres.
