Dow & Rohm and Haas form Dow Water & Process Solutions business

Dow Water Solutions and Rohm and Haas Ion Exchange Resins have combined their respective businesses, forming Dow Water & Process Solutions, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company. This new business entity, based in Edina, Minnesota, USA comes as a result of Dow's acquisition of Rohm and Haas, which was completed April 1. Dow is already the world's largest manufacturer of reverse osmosis membranes. The addition of Rohm and Haas also solidifies Dow Water & Process Solutions as the industry leader in ion exchange resins. By combining Rohm and Haas' significant process and application experience in ion exchange resins with Dow's best-in-class enabling component technologies and industry leadership position, this new integrated organization will offer customers a broader portfolio of solutions than either company could provide previously.
