Two leading extrusion players, Greiner Extrusion (Austria) and KraussMaffei Berstorff (Germany), have agreed to intensify their long-term cooperation in negotiations held in Munich, Germany in February. Greiner Extrusion is the international leader for tooling, extrusion follow-up equipment and in complete profile extrusion plant construction whiel KraussMaffei Berstorff is also among the world leaders for extruders and plastics machinery. As a part of this arrangement, the two companies will closely align their global sales and service activities including strengthening of joint sales and customer training efforts plus a global presence at specialist trade fairs and symposiums. The partnership has declared Eastern Europe, Russia, South America, Africa, South-East Asia and India as the promising markets for its activities.
Having already supplied some 400 extruders till date to Greiner Extrusion, KraussMaffei Berstorff will jointly implement projects in Ukraine, Iran, Columbia and Russia among others. They are also constructing a large scale plant to produce house construction components in Venezuela to serve panel structure prefabricated housing production as the basis of major residential projects.
Expertise of KraussMaffei Berstorff include compounding, tube, profile, sheeting and board extrusion, physical foaming, production of technical rubber articles and semi-finished tire products using single extruders through to complete extrusion lines for large-scale chemical, automobile, construction, furnishing and pharmaceuticals industries. Greiner Extrusion, is a part of the Greiner Tool.Tec GmbH, is the world market leader for plastics profile extrusion tooling and machinery for plastic profile extrusion. The company boasts of a pilot plant and research operations in Austria, China, the USA and France, a service center in the UK and a representation in Russia.
