South Korea's Honam Petrochemical Corp. has earmarked an investment outlay of US$390 mln in a joint project to build a petrochemical plant in Qatar. An agreement has been signed between Honam Petrochemical and Qatar Intermediate Industries Holdings Company Ltd., a wholly-owned unit of Qatar Petroleum, for a US$2.6 bln project. Investment outlay by Qatar Intermediate Industries will total to the tune of US$910 mln.
