Huntsman Corporation has added a new low pentane expandable polystyrene (EPS) to its portfolio of performance polymers, containing an average of 3.6% pentane by weight. This makes the EPS well within the parameters of EPA's rigorous emissions standards and molds in a wide range of applications including insulation, roofing, geofoam and packaging. When properly molded it meets all ASTM C-578 criteria at applicable densities.
