US$7-8 billion is needed to develop the petrochemical industry in Kazakhstan in the nearest future as per a road map made by the government. The petrochemical industry in Kazakhstan will appear first near the country's three big fields: Tengiz, Kashagan, and Karachaganak.
Keeping this in view, the Government of Kazakhstan plan to sign the 1st agreement with the foreign companies within initiation of petrochemical complexes by December 15. This year the Government of Kazakhstan plans to sign accords to develop this domain, with NC KazMunaiGaz being the basic company to represent Kazakhstan.
