xpansion commences at Maoming Ethylene Project

Expansion work has commenced at Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical's ethylene plants, encompassing 36 sub-projects, including a 640,000 ton cracking unit, a 350,000 ton high density polyethylene unit, a 300,000 ton polypropylene unit and a 250,000 ton high pressure polyethylene unit. The expansion project will boost ethylene production of Maoming Petrochemical Corp from the current 360,000 tons to 1 million tons. The following units will be expanded: The cracking gasoline hydration unit from 150,000 tons to 640,000 tons Butadiene extracting unit from 50,000 tons to 150,000 tons Aromatic hydrocarbon extracting unit from 160,000 tons to 640,000 tons High density polyethylene unit from 170,000 tons to 220,000 tons
