India's largest manufacturer and exporter of plastic extrusion machinery Kolsite Group, and one of North America's largest manufacturers and exporters of plastic extrusion machinery, Gloucester Engineering Co Inc. (GEC), shake hands for a strategic joint venture to be located in India. The newly formed company will be named Kabra Gloucester Engineering Ltd. (KGE). KGE will focus on manufacturing world-class, advanced technology Multilayer and Monolayer Blown Film Lines for Kolsite Group's and GEC's global markets.
Founded in 1961 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, GEC is a leader and innovator in the design of cast, sheet, foam and multi-layer blown film extrusion lines. Kolsite Group, promoted by the Kabra family, was founded in 1962 in Mumbai, India. The Kolsite Group, through its Kabra Extrusiontechnik Ltd (KET) company, is a leader in the production of pipe, profile and blown film extrusion lines. Both companies have extensive sales and service networks in the markets they serve.
The new Joint Venture Company combines KET's expertise in manufacturing and sourcing efficiency with GEC's advanced blown film extrusion technology. The Joint Venture Company will allow KET and GEC to offer their customers the combined advantage of high-output, high-quality blown film lines at globally competitive prices, backed-up by their respective sales and service network.
