Equate Petrochemical Company has announced that the Aromatics Complex of Kuwait Paraxylene Production Company (KPPC) has officially commenced commercial operations. The US$2 bln state of the art complex, which is located in Kuwait’s Shuaiba Industrial Area, is to produce paraxylene (PX) and benzene. Current production levels are pegged at 829,000 tpa of PX and 393,000 tpa of benzene.
