Taiwan's Lee Chang Yung Chemical Industry Corp. is to acquire 36.02% stake in Taiwan Polypropylene Co. for NT$1.98 billion (US$60.5 million). Lee Chang Yung will buy the stake by acquiring 100% of Basell Taiwan Holdings BV, paying NT$18.8 a share for 105.2 million shares. Conclusion of the deal will make Lee Chang Yung the largest shareholder of Taiwan Polypropylene.
