PolyOne Corporation, a leading global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, has launched its recently developed TPE-V grades dedicated to the specific demands of the Wire & Cable industry.
OnFlex™-V 2000, 2100, 2400 and 2600 are the trade names for PolyOne's new comprehensive product families of thermoplastic elastomer compounds, based on
TPE-V (polyolefin phase with a cross-linked EPDM dispersed into it) that will match the demanding requirements in this market segment.
These new grade ranges include four new TPE-V families for Wire & Cable applications:
OnFlexTM-V 2000 for standard extrusion applications
OnFlexTM-V 2100 including a high UV-resistance grade for outdoor extrusion applications
OnFlexTM-V 2400 including copper and heat stabilization grade for insulation applications
OnFlexTM-V 2600, the flame retardant grades also suitable for insulation and jacketing applications.
With these four new OnFlexTM-V product families, PolyOne shows its special commitment to the Wire & Cable market, and offers cable manufacturers one of the broadest TPE-V portfolios for their different applications. The new grades are permanently held in stock for customer evaluation and sampling. All colored grades use non-cadmium colorants and meet the latest RoHS requirements.
With the recent acquisition of GLS, PolyOne's TPE portfolio has been dramatically extended to include GLS's robust portfolio of TPE's as well as PolyOne's OnFlexTM-S (TPE-S), OnFlexTM-O (TPE-O), OnFlexTM-V (TPE-V) and OnFlexTM-U (TPE-U) compounds. In addition to the standard grades, GLS and PolyOne will customize compounds to meet specific performance and process requirements.
PolyOne also supplies a wide range of color and additive concentrates, and Low Smoke and Fume, Zero Halogen (LSFOH) compounds to the Wire & Cable market. These products can be custom formulated to match the demanding specifications of the cable manufacturers.
