India's oil and gas minister is licked in conflict with the country's largest public sector undertaking (PSU) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The ministry seems upset by ONGC's investment spree in refining, petrochemicals, power projects and overseas acquisitions at the cost of its primary job of hunting for oil. The minister has alleged that ONGC is not actively pursuing domestic exploration and production (E&P) activities, while the Deccan plateau has oil and gas reserves equivalent to Saudi Arabia.
