Iran has failed to comply with a deadline of Friday to halt uranium enrichment that makes fuel for civilian nuclear reactors and can also produce nuclear weapons material. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in June closed at US$71.88. In London, the price of Brent North Sea crude for June delivery closed at US$72.02 a barrel.
