Oil prices increase in Asian trading

Oil prices increased marginally on Monday when the market looked for the direction ahead of the expected start up of US refineries. The impending Nigerian presidential elections are feared to possibly spark violence which will disturb oil prices. Light sweet crude for May increased to US$68.77 per barrel by 14 cents. Last week oil prices were boosted because of problems at US refineries and a dip in US gasoline inventories. Few refineries like McKee refinery in Texas are expected to continue its gasoline production which will support their prices
