On-time completion of Borouge 3 in 2013 will position Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) as one of the top-ten world polyolefin producers. With planned production of 2.5 mln tons at Borouge 3, the company's total polyolefin production capacity will be boosted to 4.5 mln tpa by the end of 2013. Current share of the company in the global polyolefin market is 0.6%, expected to increase by over 1.5% in 2010. Upon completion of Borouge 3, capacity will increase by more than 2.5% in 2013.
The company will focus on infrastructure, automotive and advance packaging markets in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Indian sub-continent and Africa.
