The Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI) has granted promotional privileges to 7 investment projects in marine transport and petrochemical businesses with total investment value of 15 billion baht, to meet increased demand both locally and regionally.
The board has approved investment promotions to the production of Purified Terphthalic Acid (PTA) by TPT Petrochemical Co with a project investment value of 2.22 billion baht.
The BOI also gave an investment promotion to the sea-borne transport of crude oil from ships and undersea pipelines to oil depots by Thai Oil Public Company Limited with an investment value of 6.03 billion baht. The project, if successfully implemented, would enable the company to ship 79 million barrels of crude oil to its refineries annually, he said.
