PKN Orlen plans to hive off its PVC and fertilizer interests operated by chemicals subsidiary Anwil. This decision has been reached because of the limited relevance of these businesses with the company's principal business.
3 polish chemical groups- Ciech, Zaklady Azotowe Tarnow and Kedzierzyn have formed a consortium to form a new company to bid for PKN's stake of almost 85% in Anwil.
