India’s Prime Minister has formally declared open a world-class, 6 mln tpa Bina refinery, dedicating it to the nation. With this, India’s refining capacity will rise to 23.80 mln tons by 2012. By 2012, India is working toward enhancing this capacity to 2,380 lakh tons.
The refinery has been set up by Bharat Oman Refineries Limited (BORL), which is promoted by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, with equity participation of 26% by Oman Oil Company and about 1% by the Madhya Pradesh Government.
